Hope, happiness, and DIY Easter decor

AN EXTRA TOUCH OF EASTER JOY

April is a month of happiness, hope, renewal, and new life. We smiled and laughed with one another as April Fools Day passed. The final season of Game of Thrones has begun, and we have hope that the world will finally be at peace. Tiger Woods embodies renewal as he won The Masters for the first time since 2005 after facing so much adversity. Easter is this Sunday as we commemorate new life

This Sunday, we hope that you are blessed with a wonderful day of celebrating family, friends, and Christ. May it be a day filled with peace, love, a delicious meal, and chocolate bunnies for dessert. Although decorations play a very small role in the true meaning of the holiday, we have gathered a few last minute ideas to help fill your home with Easter joy.

1.  Painted mason jars
Okay this one is easy! All you have to do is grab a few extra pastel paints from around the house, old mason jars, and get to work. For a little added detail, you can add twine or other pastel colored ribbon. Top the jars off with flowers and voila... you have a beautiful Easter decoration.

2. Eggs in a basket
We bet that you have an extra basket lying around. If not, these are very affordable and can be found at your local craft store. Use a pastel Easter egg dying kit to add a little color to the eggs that you will place in your basket. Then, you can add a little bit of Baby's Breath to the top for a final touch!

3. Egg platter

This one is so simple and uses only a few items. You can use any extra dyed Easter eggs, straw from the craft store, and a cake stand for an easy Easter decoration.

4. Orange roses

Who doesn't love fresh flowers? Use orange roses or tulips and turn them upside down. Then, you can use a ribbon to tie the stem and a few ferns together to create a carrot shape. This is a beautiful and unique arrangement to put on your front door.

5. Carrots and tulips

Staying on the carrot theme, you can use carrots to fill a clear flower vase. Then, all you have to do is add a bouquet of flowers of your choice in the center to create a fun, Easter arrangement.

*Pro Tip: Peel the carrots for a seamless look

6. Peeps garland

Peeps aren't good for just an Easter snack. These yummy marshmallows treats make for a colorful, Easter decoration to any room. Use a needle and string to sew through the Peeps to create a strand of garland.

*Pro Tip: Use regular marshmallows as fillers to space out the Peeps.

7. Peeps, Jelly Beans, and Tulips

You can use any leftover Jelly Beans and Peeps to fill the rim of a clear dish. You can be as creative as you want to with the colors. It is Easter after all. Then use your favorite flowers to garnish the middle of the dish. You may need to trim the stems depending on the size of your dish.
