Wines Around the World (Argentina)

We’re so excited to launch Wines Around the World. Every month we will be featuring a red, a white, a sparkling, and a rose from a different country/region around the world! During the rest of the month of January, we will be featuring wines from Argentina! Argentina is the 5th largest wine producer in the world and 8th in consumption. Argentina did not begin heavily exporting wine until the 1990s, as the country consumed 90% of all wine that was produced. They are now the largest wine exporter in South America with Mendoza, San Juan, and La Rioja being their most important wine producing regions. Come out on January 26th for a wine tasting of these Argentinian wines. The cost will be $15 for a flight of the wines and the tasting presentation.

Join REI Outdoor School for a wilderness survival class focusing on 3-season skills that could save your life. During this class you will learn practical tips and strategies that every outdoor traveler should know, including: emergency priorities; how to make an emergency shelter; how to locate and access drinking water; and how to make your own emergency kit with all the essentials. You will also participate in interactive scenarios to practice and hone your skills. This class is designed for anyone who spends time outdoors. As a result of this class, participants will gain knowledge regarding:Emergency Kits/EssentialsEmergency PrioritiesEmergency SheltersWater location and procurement.

Space Jesus is the feeling you get when you travel through a wormhole in a fresh pair of Jordans. Jasha Tull was born in New Jersey and raised on hip hop. With his alarm set to NYC’s Hot 97 throughout elementary school, Jasha started making beats at at a young age, and created Space Jesus as a vessel to express his personal experiences through music. With a focus on alien basslines, gangster beats, and future feels, the Spaceman imprints his signature sound onto each genre he graces. After building a reputation for his dynamic live performances, and with appearances EDC, Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and beyond under his belt, Space Jesus continues to explore the auditory universe in search of lower frequencies.
