Buskers Festival Street performers (aka buskers) will be highlighted. Local street performers will busk throughout the First Tennessee Pavilion while you shop. Guests can expect live music, dancing and other performers such as jugglers, mimes, puppeteers, magicians and more. Every nook and cranny of the market will be a surprise. Admission is free, but tips for the performers are appreciated. As always, produce is available at the market from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Summer FurFest at Humane Society The Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga will host a 12-hour adoption extravaganza on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at their 212 N. Highland Park Ave. facility. Find your next family member and name-your-own-price. The event includes puppy and kitten cuddles, a dog play group demonstration and door prizes. Check out the available dogs and cats here.

Pirates, Parrots, & Princesses Day

Ocoee River Jam Ocoee River Jam is an annual music festival in Ocoee, Tennessee. The family-friendly festival will feature live music from Strung Like a Horse, Barefoot Nellie, Magic Birds, Lenox Hills, Jess Goggans, Dagger Blue and Big Smo. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Weekend passes are $60, and day passes are available. Sunday admission is free to all youth 17 and under.

The 18th annual Honey Harvest, Creative Discovery Museum’s sweetest event, returns Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 from noon to 4:00 p.m.! The Museum will be buzzing with beekeepers and guests celebrating the work and life of one of nature’s hardest workers – the honey bee.Honey Harvest, the only event of its kind in Chattanooga, is a Museum-wide celebration with regional beekeepers who help guests learn about the importance of honey bees and how honey is made.During the celebration, guests can:• Make their own honey lip balm, beeswax candle and honey soap to take home;• Taste different varieties of honey in Culinary Corner;• And participate in honey extraction and meet beekeepers!

Friday, July 27, through Sunday, July 29, is Tennessee Tax-Free Weekend. During those shopping days, no tax is charged on clothing up to $100, school supplies or school art supplies up to $100 and computers up to $1,500.
The state's sales tax holiday begins annually at 12:01 a.m. on the last Friday in July and ends at 11:59 p.m. the following Sunday.
