Once a Month Comedy Showcase They are hilarious comics who happen to be female. The Once a Month comedy showcase returns to the Palace Theater on Saturday night with both Grace Holtz and Natasha Ferrier hosting visiting comedians Hillary Begley, Annie Lockwood, Gail Grantham Moore and Lisa Smith. This month marks the fifth showcase since the Once a Month debut. Tickets are $10 and available in advance or at the door.

Nightfall: Amythyst Kiah A professed Southern Gothic songster based in Johnson City, TN, Amythyst Kiah’s commanding stage presence is only matched by her raw and powerful vocals—a deeply moving, hypnotic sound that stirs echoes of a distant and restless past. Matt Downer and the Old Time Travelers will open the show. You’ve seen Downer perform throughout Chattanooga and, especially, at Rock City. Nightfall is always free.

The Fridge/Nim Nims at Songbirds South A mix of Trip Hop, Dance, Dub, Ambient, House, Indie, Acoustic Soul, the band “has no boundaries” when it comes to where the music takes them. The group features Dan Pinson, Hunter White, Dustin French, Chris Reich and Cory French. They’ll be joined by The Nim Nims. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. The movement starts at 9 p.m. with doors at 8 p.m.

Frequeroo Music & Arts Festival The Frequeroo Music & Arts Festival features visual art by more than 20 local artists and live music

from a variety of local bands. Food, desserts, coffee, beer and more will be available from The Spot. Admission is free from 12 to 8 p.m. and $10 if you stay after 8 p.m. About 20 local artists will be featured, including Devon Kronenberg, Steven Yessick, Lisa Srok and more. Musical performances will include Danimal Planet, Nick Lutsko, Jesse Junkurth and the Patron Haints, Genki Genki Panic, Pinecone, Jack Kirton, Alex Volz and more. The event is rain or shine.

CFC Women vs. Memphis Lobos

Sunday July 1st, 2018 The Chattanooga FC women’s team will face conference rivals Memphis Lobos at Finley Stadium at 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 at the gate. Free entry is provided to anyone wearing a 2018 CFC Women wristbands or home jerseys, CFCA 2018 home jerseys and children under 6. The official after party will be at OddStory Brewing Co. from 8:30-10:30 p.m. The CFC women are in first place of the WPSL Southeast Conference.
