The Edrington Team + The Rustic House

Did you know that your memory is closely linked to your sense of smell!? How cool is that!? Think about your grandparent's house, I bet you can almost smell it.

With a glass of chamomile tea and cabernet in hand, we sat down with the founder of The Rustic House, Emily Warr and her lifelong friend and partner Kelly Tuner. We discussed Chattanooga, the business, and their passion behind their Chattanooga candle company. Right now you're probably thinking, "I've seen these candles before." That's because The Rustic House is in stores all across town. It seemed fitting with the Chattanooga Market opening up this month (April 29th) that we, at The Edrington Team, partner with a company who found success from spending their Sundays in the Tennessee Pavilion.

Their first Sunday in business they showed up to the Chattanooga Market with a bed sheet, a whiteboard, and all their candles. It turns out, Chattanooga loved them! Over the next three years, they spread across town and are now in over 150 stores nation wide!! They can still be found at the market every Sunday.

Let’s get one thing straight, The Rustic House does NOT make your typical candle. These super fragrant, long lasting candles are hand poured in small batches and USA made from natural products. This makes them last longer and burn cleaner. While The Rustic House makes great candles, their main focus isn't just to smell up your house, but to create memories with every candle they pour! They want their scents to be linked with your great experiences.
